Low-Voltage Power

Low voltage power is safe and simple.

Easylite ballasts dim lamps, and provide the low voltage power needed to run Easylite sensors and controls. Forget line voltage hard terminations and separate low voltage power packs. Life becomes a lot easier when you provide low voltage power from your ballasts. With Easylite ILS, you connect all ballasts, sensors, and controls with safe, low voltage, pre-terminated plenum rated cable.  By making our ballasts into low voltage power sources, Easylite created the first plug and play ILS.

Ballast provided power means easier installation and configuration. Low voltage power, provided by Easylite’s patented ballasts, powers all system sensors and controls. Easylite ILS installers run pre-terminated plenum rated cable to ballasts, sensors, relays, and dimmer switches. These low voltage, plug and play connections make it easier to install, configure, and reconfigure an Easylite Integrated Lighting System. With controls, relays, and sensors running on low voltage, ballast provided power, you just plug in low voltage cables to reconfigure an Easylite system.

Line voltage power connections mean higher costs. Competing systems often use line voltage wire run inside conduit to make these same system connections. First they run conduit, then they pull line voltage wire through the conduit, strip the ends of the wires, and make a hard termination at a fixture, switch, or sensor.

Other low voltage systems hide wiring hassles. Many competing systems use low voltage power but require a line voltage hard termination for all of their low voltage power packs.  With Easylite’s ballast provided power, we eliminate the need for low voltage power packs and their line voltage power connections.

Flexibility is the future. Once in place, line voltage, hard terminations are expensive to change: this increases cost, and decreases system flexibility. Easylite’s ILS is easy to configure and reconfigure using low voltage plug and play cable.  Now that is a user friendly ILS.
