The Easylite ILS provides a substantial impact on lighting energy costs - often reducing energy by 50% or more - both on a demand and consumption basis. Please refer to the links that show these calculations for two common lighting applications.

When considering a dimming, integrated lighting system vs. a static system, one must consider if the benefits will outweigh the costs of implementing this system. To help answer that question, following are some guidelines:

• Analyze total life cycle cost which will include the initial cost of installing the system, as well as the ongoing operational costs over the life of the system.
• Fluorescent lighting systems (both dimming and static) have life cycles of greater than 10 years. It is reasonable to calculate energy costs (& savings over this timeframe).
• Measure the benefits of your options against the total installed cost of the system, not just the component cost. Installation costs of lighting systems are often much greater than the material costs. Efficiencies gained on the installation (such as having the ballasts provide control power) can provide greater savings on the bottom line than lower cost components.
